The Humane Society of North Central Florida is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) shelter whose mission is to eliminate the needless euthanasia of healthy and treatable pets in North Central Florida. By bringing together several long-standing local rescue organizations, HSNCFL streamlines resources to give homeless animals a genuine second chance. Our vision is to build a sustainable, no-kill community by advocating for pets and owners, promoting lifetime matches, and supporting spay/neuter through outreach and education. We save lives through programs like adoption, foster care, low-cost veterinary services, and community support initiatives that directly fund our work.

We provide lifetime care to elderly horses seized by law enforcement agencies, rescued by the SPCA or humane societies, as well as horses retired from government service such as police patrol or state and federal parks.

A home and animal shelter combined environment, which provides structure and certification training in an animal related field. This in turn provides excellent socialization for the animal participants making adoptability more successful. Most of FWC's activity centers around our 24-hour Helpline and the rehabilitation of native wildlife. The Helpline is vital to giving people timely advice about wildlife problems. Since the best place for wild animals is in the wild, we use the Helpline to establish the best course of action and to determine whether or not intervention is necessary. In the last three years, calls to the FWC Helpline have steadily increased. This past year, FWC has received in excess of 7000 calls from across Florida, and we expect that number to grow. Most of the time, people want help for animals hit by cars, injured by pets, or strayed or fallen from their homes. Similarly, many people seek information on damage control, health risks, safety, and agency referrals where specific animals are concerned. Though we do not have the staffing to do animal transport, we will, in exceptional cases, provide rescue and transport services.

To instill within veterans battling PTSD a sense of independence, confidence, and freedom through training their own service dog.

Our mission is to provide a safe-haven for Shar-Pei in need, ultimately, finding them a stable and loving home to live out happy lives. We work with local shelters and humane societies to rescue Shar-Pei that in are in these facilities and will also work with individuals that, for whatever reason, can no longer care for their Shar-Pei. Our goal is to save Shar-Pei from euthanasia for unnecessary reasons such as shelter over-crowding.

Swampland Husky Rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers who will go to the ends of the earth to save a Husky in need. We devote every waking moment to help spare the lives hanging by a thread in a shelter, pulling dogs from bad situations, rehabilitating, training and loving these dogs so they understand what life should be like.

We believe animals deserve health, safety, and care, and that pet families deserve practical support when they are trying to do the right thing. Putnam PAWS is building programs that help keep pets fed, reduce unwanted litters, connect animals with care, and strengthen animal welfare in our community.

K&C Pet Rescue and Adoption Society is the oldest non-profit no-kill shelter in Northeast Florida.

Founded by a group of vet techs at Operation Spay Bay, the Castaway team focuses on companion animals whom are at risk for euthanasia by pulling from shelters, rescuing those who have been abandoned and supporting TNR assistance for community cats.�

The organization is dedicated to supporting the welfare of animals in the community. I have dedicated the past ten years of my life saving abandoned animals throughout Bay County, FL. Most are fostered in my own home and a few are with the small network of friends that occasionally help out when they can! Money for vetting and food comes out of my pocket or my foster's unless we are able to raise funds through fundraisers. Our mission is to provide dogs with an opportunity to find their forever home by fostering and/or adopting them into loving and permanent homes which will provide them years of happiness. Many of these animals have had a very difficult upbringing, were left behind by their owners, abandoned on the street, sent to the local kill shelter, used for bait dogs, etc. Whatever their past, it is our mission is to help them overcome this and move forward in becoming well balanced loving dogs that will thrive in their surroundings. We will help them along their journey to their forever home.

We focus on the needy Boxer dogs in Broward, Miami-Dade and south Palm Beach counties but are not limited to these areas as resources allow. We rescue Boxers from shelters in south Florida before they are euthanized and help displaced Boxers find new, loving, appropriate and permanent homes. We do not have a shelter and the number of dogs we can help is dependent on the amount of foster homes available to us.
